Merge 2 different VTS in same dvd

I have a dvd that has the movie spread across 2 different VTS and what I wanted to do was do a CCE of this but I want to merge it back in only 1 VTS and remove the other VTS or black it and have the chapter menu and song menu work correctly with that.

Demux both titles and remux them with muxman (I presume the attributes of the titles are the same).

How exactly do I demux the titles and how do I remux them with muxman. Also even after they are remuxed will the chapter menu correctly point to the single VTS instead of switching VTS's after about halfway through the chapter list? Same question for song menu.

PS: My plan was to make 2 d2v files, combine them in one script, feed that into cce, mux with muxman and replace the original vts with the one from muxman but in this case since there are 2 different vts with the chapter and song menu pointing to the second vts halfway through the chapter entries and part way through the song entries I don't know how that will work. Maybe I'm not understand the structure very well. I know that the celltimes.txt determines the chapter timings that i use with muxman but the real question is that how will the chapter menu react with the second titleset blanked out and the whole movie in the first titleset with the celltimes referring to all 30 chapters in the same vts. I hope that wasn't that confusing :/

Demux both VTSs with PGC Demux. Load the 2 m2vs into the video part of muxman, the 2 ac3 in, etc. Make 2 chapter files as celltimes.txt. The second will will need to add the offset from the frame of the first to all its frame number. Combine them into a single celltimes.txt Mux.

BTW, you can generate the celltime.txt files with PgcEdit. Do the first part of the movie first, then create the second txt file from the second half of the movie. PgcEdit will offer to add the end time of the first part as the offset for the second part, so you don't have to use a calculator. ;-)
The option to generate the celltimes.txt files is in the "PGC Editor". (Of course, you must select the right Title in the left pane before calling it.)

I load the DVD in PGCEdit then I just get lost. Where do I click to make the celltimes file?

First, locate the first half of the movie in the left pane, and click it. (You can find it by its Title number, its duration, or using the preview.) Then, click the button "PGC Editor" in the toolbar at the bottom to open the PGC Editor window. (You should see the list of cells and chapters, as well as many other things.) You will find a Celltimes.txt button near the bottom. Click it. The rest should be self explanatory.

I don't quite understand how this will automatically make the chapter menu refer only to the first movie VTS for all of its chapters. Won't it still refer to the "empty" second half VTS even after I replace the first half VTS with the full movie? And how will the song menu work?

You're right. But first things first. You have to reorganize your title, and then worry about the way to call it.

Ok so I muxed the new chapter list with the full movie, full ac3 file, and full sup subtitles in muxman and got a brand new titleset. Now what to do? :)

Remove all references to title 2 and substitute new title 1 for the old 1 (using VobBlanker or if the title is the only one in the VTS, use PgcEdit Replace VTST titles). Reprogram the chapter menu accordingly.

First find out where the menu for part 2 resides: is it a part of common menu in VTS1 or in Video Manager or is it a separate menu in the older VTS2? Follow the button commands: most likely they addressed (directly or indirectly) chapters or programs of Title 2 (now both parts are in Title 1). The position of chapter menu in relation to a video title defines how the button commands should be edited.
Besides, you might have to edit post-commands of the movie PGC: they were earlier defined for title 1 (first half of the movie) and possibly lead to the second half (older title 2). Maybe something like post-commands of that title 2 should be used instead.

The menu is located in a completely different VTS and it refers to both the first movie VTS and the second part of the movie VTS.

In case the menu is in a separate VTS, the button commands for addressing chapters most likely lead to some Video Manager PGC(s). Then pre-commands of those PGC(s) may e.g. lead to VMG title (title # corresponds to part 1 or 2). In pre-commands of movie PGC the chapter # (or program #) can be decoded (from some number in a register) for starting playback at a certain moment. That's one of the possible types of navigation. Try to follow button commands' path for getting to know the actual situation.
In new DVD structure there'll be 1 title and different number of chapters (the new ones must be manually registered with VTS title 1).
