Unable to backup "X-Men Vol 1" (Marvel DVD Comic Book Collection)

I recently bought this set (which will promptly be followed by Vols 2,3,4 and 5 :)), and after being very pleasantly surprised at the nice packaging and it being a triple language release I decided to backup it at once. That would not prove so easy though:

Using AnyDVD 6.6.13 and DVDDecrypter in ISO mode, the ISO was correctly made in my HDD, but DVDShrink's transcoding would stop at 95% on several tries, stating some kind of incorrect operation an an "out-of-memory" error.
RipIt4Me would detect a ~16.5GB disc which given my 14.5GB available space is a problem, no to mention that such a size is impossible anyway.

So, either this title has some sophisticated copy protection mechanism or I'm doing something wrong. If you have any suggestions I'd be very grateful.

Try (freeware version) DVDFabHD by itself (No "support" program running in the background)...

If you have anydvd, just use the anydvd ripper.
That's what Anydvd Ripper is for ( "Rip video-dvd to Hard Disk").

and open the folder in DVDshrink

Yeah, that should do the trick removing the structural protection. All the necessary tools are already at hand.

Edit: I'd also advise Chainmax to update to AnyDVD 6.6.3.5 beta. It's posted in the Slysoft forums. At the very least AnyDVD 6.6.3.4 should be used and that can be downloaded from the download page on the main Slysoft website.

setarip_old: DVDFab HD seems too simplified an unconfigurable...does it have an IFO mode? I will want to try doing each chapter individually at some point.

dirio49: I will try that, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have an IFO mode, so it will not be useful for when I try to rip each episode individually.
