2 aspect ratios 1 DVD

I want to backup JackieBrown(german).
But this movie is in 2 aspect ratios on the DVD (4:3 Fullscreen and 1.85:1 Letterbox).
Watching the DVD you can switch to the 1.85:1 version. The 1.85 vers is not on the other side of the DVD, or in other VOBs!
Smartripper shows onle 1 angel! So how do I get the 1.85:1 aspect ratio? (I use vstrip/smartripper,dvd2avi,nandub ...)

Mmh, e.g. The Big Lebowski has also those two version, but on the dvd there is one program chain for each aspect ratio.

i don't know if this is possible, but perhaps they crop the movie, but this makes no sense to me.

know I've found out that on this DVD there is only the 4:3 version, and if you choose widescreen, all they do is blend in black borders on top/bottom of the image, very silly. Thanks for yout replys
