Avisynth script for matroska source

Hello everyone!

Does anyone knows wich avs script is the best for BRRip-XviD that gives you HQ video for output? Lattley I was trying to do something with LSF filter and I'm not satisfited with the quality. Encode time doesn't matter, because I want the quality.. :-)
I would appreciate if anyone could help me with this. Cheers!

I'm sorry for violation of the rules of the forum :-(, but I really really wan't to learn how to write this script and I'm still searching for it on the google and I just can't find a script that would give a HQ output :-( Otherwise.. if is still anyone out there that is ready to share his knowlege to me please PM me.

It took me a minute to see what the violation was.. but yeah.. "what is the best for xxx" is kind of not a good question, so they discourage it.

Rephrasing your question around what you were trying to achieve with LSF and what you were getting instead, might get you a better answer.. Also have you tried LSFmod (or is that what you meant before)?


Getting "High Quality" output is a very subjective idea. Crappy to you might be gold to me, and so on... Are you looking for sharpness? Are you looking to denoise, or degrain? Do you want to sharpen something specific like some edges, but not really touch the rest?

Explain what your idea of quality is and what you are trying to achieve, and then people can recommend filters or settings for you.. Also its not all about the script. Encoding settings make a big difference too, but I'm not sure why you'd want to use Xvid for a Blu-Ray project. Unless you need hardware compatibility.

Thanx for the replys.. I must say I am kind of new to this avs scripting. Yes I am looking for sharpness with clean picture and not ugly edges around objects and people.
