Referring to this link for reference, I have created a new DVD with a menu, two titles and associated buttons.
I can trace through the commands with no error and the menu responds as expected.

Using VLC to test, the menu appears for a second then VLC stops.

The files open without error in DVD Shrink.

The burned disk does not play (but gives no error).

EDIT: I changed the cell time to 255 in VMGM LU 1 EN 1
vLC now displays the menu (the buttons don't have highlights) and it still wont play on a standalone player.

Not sure where is the problem. If the menu has a subpic stream and a cell still time of 255, and if the colour scheme used by the buttons has the 4 colours not fully transparent, the highlights should be visible. I don't understand neither why your player doesn't play the DVD.

Do you have created a 16:9 menu?

Note that, since version 9.3 of PgcEdit, you don't need to import the menu linked in the other thread. You can do it completely in PgcEdit. Just create the new (dummy) menu, then double-click the TitleM PGC to open the PGC Editor, and create a new cell. The cell has now two subpic stream, so you can use it as a basis to create the buttons and their highlights, and you can replace the background with VobBlanker as explained in the other thread. You still have to change the cell still time. I've used that method several times, and it works well.

Thank you for replying.
It's a 4:3 menu.
I was using a .bmp file, inserted by VobBlanker, as my menu image - so I guess didn't have a subpic?

I found a way to use MuxMan to create a .vob using a two images and a script here...

I followed the thread, used the VOB file as a replacement in VobBlanker, and the highlights showed up using the software player - the burned disk played back OK on the standalone player.
