View Full Version : Is my video telecined or not? (weird interlacing pattern)

Hello,
I can't figure out if my video (http://www.mediafire.com/?vwzedyknwaz) is telecined or just interlaced...
What I know of telecine is just the standard "Anime" 3:2 pulldown.
Three progressive frames and two interlaced: PPIIP
In this video tho it varies from PPIIP to PPPIP and I don't get it at all
I'm looking forward to someone clarifying things.

Best regards
Lenor~

It's telecined.
Read this (http://www.mod16.org/hurfdurf/?p=12) article about the difference between telecine and interlace.

Sometimes you will find all kinds of whack telecine patterns in Anime. In fact, Telecine in Anime is an abomination to the world and should be destroyed, but we're stuck with it for the time being... heh

Haha I think I remember watching that video!

And my earlier response seems a little stupid in context.. Seeing as this isn't Anime, but that's what the word Telecine does to me ;)

Thank you Stephen R. Savage. Looks very nice now 'cept for the crappyness :P
But what's the deal with the 22fps? Aren't the supposed to be 24?
