Wrong timecodes after demuxing

I've come to Doom 9 with this problem because no one else can figure it out. I've contacted tech support for several of the DVD related programs I use, and no one had the slightest idea what's wrong. Here's the low down...

I'm trying to compile some videos, and one of the files is behaving very strangely. It seems to copy without any problems, but when I demux it the timecode is wrong, twice as long as it should be. As a result, the audio plays properly, but the video tries to run at half speed, causing total loss of synchronization. When remuxed, the video stops and skips constantly, so the final product is useless. Is there any way to get this file to demux properly, or is it possible to repair the timecode after demuxing? Can anyone solve this problem?

I'm trying to recompile a DVD collection I recently purchased which presents several episodes in the wrong order, ruining the show's continuity. I have no problem decrypting the files with DVD Decrypter in IFO mode, and when I import the resulting .VOB files into DVD Lab Studio everything seems normal, but the final result is a video that stops and skips constantly. When I use the DVD Lab option to "rewrite GOP timecode" the video is revealed to have a running time twice as long as it should be. Got any ideas what's wrong?

Got any ideas what's wrong? Nope. I don't use DVD Lab Studio. Have you tried other authoring packages?

No, DVD Lab is the only reauthoring program I have. I use DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, Video Redo, DVD Lab and Nero, and I also have some other useful programs like VOB Edit, IFO Edit, PGC Edit and DVD Remake, which I only use occasionally and don't fully understand. None of the programs at my disposal have been able to identify let alone resolve the problem.

try decrypting with dvdfab hd decrypter, dvdfab, or anydvd

unless your discs are old, dvd decrypter doesn't work against many newer copy protections

Why use DVDLab at all? Why demux at all? Just fix the commands governing the episode playback order using PGCEdit. Run the Trace to discover where it's going wrong and fix it. This would be better handled in the IFO/VOB Editors Forum where they'll know how to do it if you can't figure it out yourself.

You also may use DVD shrink 3.2 to reauthor your collection (directly from DVD if you have problems with ripping), each episode in its own VTS, then you can create your own menu if needed or reimport the old one and fix the commands (PGCedit).
