I can find VC98 SP6, and processor pack 5. The Avisynth wiki says do not install sp6. I can not fine SP5 anywhere.

As I remember, VC98 SP6 includes the processor pack. Wil avisynth build with SP6?

You can build it with VC 2005 as pointed out by Wilbert.

I guess that is 2.5.8. As it turns out, I need to build 2.5.7, and so I must use VC98. Will SP6 work? If not, any ideas where to get SP5?

Just curious, don't really need to answer, what are you doing that's specific to 2.5.7?

Actually, we are using 2.5.6. We have production encoding system that has been using Avisynth for several years. When we switched to 2.5.8, a bug showed up where the first frame of every encoding is a frame from the middle of the stream. We reverted to 2.5.6 to meet the encoding schedule. I will spend some cycles to see if I can find the root cause.
