I have a 25 year old VHS tape which must be restored. I have played it on 2xS-VHS and 3xVHS VCR's, and this is the best capture:

I am looking to repair the dropouts, in the form of black/white lines and dots. I have used descratch to some effect, but I feel that 99% recovery should be possible.
Is there something better than fudging DeScratch?
Thanks for your help, this is a precious memory.
included: plugins, demo script, video sample (xvid)
Meanwhile I hold out a slight hope of capturing better (in capture forum).
