There is a truly amazing plugin for foobar2000 called noise sharpening, and it really makes music sound better. Is there a way to direct audio decoding to foobar2000 so the noise sharpening effect kicks in?
Or even better, can ffdshow developers add this plugin into ffdshow? This plugin is extremely popular with foobar2000, and it made many winamp or iTunes user to foobar2000.
Thanks.

Plugin that enables the media player to playback files by using directshow filters. (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Plugins/foo-input-ds.shtml)

Well I've somehow found a way to play video with noise sharpening plugin, unfortunately it isn't viable with mpc-hc as it requires ability to use winamp plugin. Here's how :
1. you need kmplayer and winamp installed, either portable or normal installation is fine.
2. download the noise sharpening sps from winamp forum, http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=214782.
3. copy it to your winamp/plugins/dsp_sps folder
4. launch up kmplayer, make sure that the its audio transform filter is enabled
5. enable the nullsoft signal processing studio int kmplayer winamp dsp option
6. load the noise sharpening plugin in the sps dialogue
7. play any video, there you got your effect
Now if only ffdshow audio support winamp 5 plugin it'll be able to do noise sharpening in any directshow based media player...
