mkisoft.exe and windows 7

Hi, I would like to know if the new PGCEdit 9.3 installs by itself a mkisoft.exe which is compatible with windows 7 or should install the one that came with ImgTool Classic?

The mkisofs included with PgcEdit is still the "fast" version, not compatible with Vista/Win7. You should install the standard version (contained within the ImgTools Classic bundle) if you want to create ISOs from PgcEdit. But I highly recommend to use ImgBurn (that can be easily integrated in the Tools menu of PgcEdit), instead of the internal burn function of PgcEdit, now somewhat outdated.

Hi, I was trying to accomplish the same result that the one provided with PGCEdit and mkisoft (just pressing the burn button, select a destination and that's it) using the tool menu in PGCEdit. I want to pass the same parameters at the tool configuration, but I can't get the same results, of course, without making the iso file. Could you please provide me the parameters? Thanks again

You mean, with ImgBurn, right? (It is not possible to automate the ISO creation with mkisofs just via the Tools menu, as the DVD must be "prepared" before being sent to mkisofs.)

Woaw, that was fast. I'm sorry I couldn't explain you better. Yes, the explanation from the VideoHelp post is what I wanted. I copy the arguments (copy/paste) to the tools menu in PgcEdit and now it give an error: PGCedit: User tool error, error changing working directory for user tool "ImgBurn" to "c:\windows\system32\%a": couldn't change working directory to "C:\Windows\System32\%a": no such file or directory
Execute tool anyway?
If I answer yes, it works, but how could I get rid of this error?

Vista should be OK.
Are you sure you have set %a alone in the arguments field? Do not put quotes and verify that there is no additional space or special character. (The easiest way is to click on the "..." button and select "Application folder".)
If that doesn't work, try to remove it, and leave the field blank, or select any other working directory. I'm almost sure that ImgBurn doesn't need a precise working directory.
