Hi,

I have a silly question. I'm try to play an MKV file with two audio tracks:
1) DTS-HD MA English
2) DTS Chinese
I've tried Halli splitter, and it gives a lot of drop-outs in video, the audio is only normal for a while and then stops working. I think this is a known issue as rica also mentioned this in his thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=152520
I then tried MPC-HC internal Matroska splitter (Gabest), and it only outputs Chinese DTS audio track. The wired thing is, MPC-HC creates two FFDShow instances, and I couldn't find out how to switch bwteen audio tracks in MPC-HC. I don't know if it's a known problem or my stupidity.
Any help is appreciated!!:thanks::thanks::thanks:

Never had any problems playing those kind of files with MPC_HC. The thruth is I've never tried a file with one of audio tracks DTS-HD ,but files with DTS plus AC3 or LPCM work with no problem. The only anoying thing is that MPC-HC always prefers a different track as default ,as the one I wish..LOL. Giving the audio track I prefer the right flag with MKV toolnix/mkv merge GUI , solve the problem

You can use Audio Switcher with A key to toggle between the audio tracks.

Hi Renethx,

Thanks for your reply. Can you be more specific on which audio switcher I should use? Is it the one build in MPC-HC or the one in FFDShow? Also do you know why MPC-HC creates two FFDshow decoder instances? Thanks a lot in advance!

Audio Switcher is built in MPC HomeCinema. Make sure to check the box next to "Enable built-in audio switcher" in Option > Audio Switcher. Here is the filter graph when a MKV file with four audio tracks is played in MPC HomeCinema. All four ffdshow filters are connected to Audio Switcher filter. It works fine with HD audio tracks too.
