View Full Version : Is there a Video Joiner that works with WMV3 (VC-1)

I've tried out various video joiner software such as ultra video joiner, xilisoft video joiner, etc.
None of them provides vc-1 encoding and when I transcode/re-encode the combined video with mpeg4,
xvid, divx, x264, etc. there are sync problems with the audio and video.

To be specific, the video codec on the videos I want to join comes up as WMV3 WMP9 (VC-1).

I'm looking for any method of combining the files with out the sync problems.

For now, I'm going to try transcode/re-encode each of the parts separately, and then try combining them.
Fingers crossed and hopefully it works (annoyingly long process, but can't find any other methods).

Any suggestions to programs that'll work well enough to join/combine (encode/decode) VC-1 vids?

Hi! To be specific, the video codec on the videos I want to join comes up as WMV3 WMP9 (VC-1).Do the tools you used to create these videos have the typical ability to append while building/authoring a video? If not, have you tried a simple Googlesearch for "WMV3 tools"?

The latest version of AsfBin should be able to handle VC-1 in ASF.

Thanks! :thanks:

Seems like a very simple solution with a GUI for novices like me.
Thank you for the suggestion :)

Being a "newb" and all, I'm not sure what you mean by "ability to append while building/authoring a video".
I stated the tools I'm using, but I'm not sure about the information you inquired about, in relation to them.

I stated the tools I'm usingNo, you've stated the tools you've tried to use to join the video files. I ws asking about the tools you used to originally create the video files...

But it looks like you've already been given a simple solution to your problem.
