I am needing a DVD-RAM driver for W2k3 Server. I am not able to use InCD on this system (don't want to anyway as the native Panasonic drivers have served me well for many years with no problems on both W2k & XP). They used to be distributed by BHA but i can't find them on the web anymore? also iv'e never seen anything for 2k3 server - only w2k and XP. I presume that is why people have fixed them so they do not perform OS id check upon installation.

I have versions 5021 & 5025 for both XP & W2k and have tried installing them in compatibility mode for both without success. It just puts up immediate error about wrong OS and that, as they say is that.

I see people have posted links to these 'no os check' versions but the links are all old and go nowhere.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction and/or show me how to fix these drivers so that they will install?

Thank you very much for any help on this! :)

Well, there's a small program out there made by Microsoft that can "fake" the OS version to the installing program. Here's a link: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/372513

It talks about installing Photoshop on Server 2003, but it's the same deal. You just have to install Microsoft's "Application Verifier". Then try installing your software again with the recommended settings in the link I provided.

Aloha and Thanks for the info Magnum!
I actually fixed it by changing out the OS # in the target line of the setupini.txt file. Everything installed and works perfectly after that. So easy a caveman could do it. ;) Thanks again for the link - didn't know about that.
