which format for dolby true HD file ?

Hello,

i have a BR Rip (m2ts) which contain et Dolby True HD audio track.

I'm using HdBrStreamExtractor (i believe it's an GUI for eac3to) that hallow me to get video, audio and subtitle in separate files (i need to do this for some reason).
For this audio track, it give me 3 choice of format : AC3, THD, AC3+THD

AC3 is AC-3 core => OK
AC3+THD => I can't use it, or i don't know how..?
THD => readable in VLC, mediainfo detect it. Look like what i want so ? but when i add it into a MKV (using MKVMerge) and read it on my popcorn hour A-110 for exemple => i can't see the track (same for MPC by the way, but VLC read it)

So, i am doing something wrong ?

Why don't you transcode the TrueHD to FLAC? FLAC is lossless, just like TrueHD.

Well, i'm not use with this format, and i never saw it into a mkv.

My worries is to be compatible with most media player/NMT and i fear that flac it not very well supported.

Beside that, my own amp only decode Dolby Digital & DTS signal, i'm not sure what will be the result of using FLAC (since i never use it, i don't know if it's juste like a container) ?

You can use TrueHD with MPC-HC (http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/History.html)
