as started in this thread, im currently capturing a lot of material from vhs tapes
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=152998&page=1

i want to process this video with avisynthfilters in order to remove the noise a bit, and make the video looking better allover.
I tried some scripts i found here om the forums, but i have no idea if i am doing it in a correct way.
i tried with temporaldegrain, nnedi2, but with 12 hours of video, thats taking weeks to process...

i have a small example footage(unprocessed) online here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FFB5A1WF

this is what most of the tapes content is, 70% is shot inside(noise)
its played on a panasonic Panasonic NV-HS960 with TBC to ON and 3D ON, through svhs cable into a DV cam, and then into the pc as DV

many thanx

If it's camcorder sensor noise, then Neat Video can be very (uniquely?) effective. Especially the lower frequency chroma nastiness.

As for "fast but good" denoising - I'd like to hear suggestions for that too!

Cheers,
David.
