Hi guys,
Is there anyway for me to extract/demux a TrueHD audio file from an MKV file I've already made?
Would like to convert TrueHD to FLAC instead.
Thanks

eac3to will do what you want.

eac3to will do what you want.
Yeah thanks that did the job.
“eac3to source.mkv -demux”
"eac3to 1.thd mainaudio.flac"
I demuxed with it, then converted the TrueHD to FLAC.
Probably an easier way to do it, such as just pointing to the MKV file, and telling it to convert the TrueHD to FLAC (or telling it just to demux TrueHD track, not video and commentary as well), but I'm not very good with command line applications.
Anyone have a good guide for eac3to?
My method works fine, I just have to wait on it demuxing everything first.

I'm trying to convert a MKV file with TrueHD audio to a TS file, while keeping the TrueHD stream.
TSMuxer doesn't recognise TrueHD audio inside the MKV file, and does also not recognise the TrueHD audio extracted with eac3to or mkvextract.
My workaround now is to convert the TrueHD to separate WAVs with eac3to, then encode it to DTS-HD with DTS Master Audio Suite. Then I can use the DTS-HD in tsmuxer.
Do any of you have a solution to keep the TrueHD audio intact?
