I've been having intermittent problems with viewing www.doom9.org - I'm getting:

Site Temporarily Unavailable

We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.
error id: "bad_httpd_conf"

www.doom9.org resolves to 208.113.231.44

For me www.doom9.org (http://www.doom9.org/) resolves to 61.206.118.218 and works just fine. I can confirm the problem with http://208.113.231.44/ though...

I have noticed the same problem as c2h5oh with www.doom9.org. For me it also resolves to 208.113.231.44.

Fails with the same error for me too in Australia. Although via anonymouse it's OK. Hmm, some servers playing up !!!

For me www.doom9.org (http://www.doom9.org/) resolves to 61.206.118.218 and works just fine. I can confirm the problem with http://208.113.231.44/ though...

The problem is for server1.doom9.org, servers 4 to 6 are up.

Back for me - Australia.

edit: 208.113.231.44 not happening again - Site Temporarily Unavailable - error id: "bad_httpd_conf".

server4.doom9.org works for me, thanks Underground78.
The other error, is the news is again 2 months old. :(

Do you mean that it had been updated since 17 Jan 2010 ? I never knew as i never saw any updates.

maybe merge with doom10 ? :devil:

Probably because Doom9 simply didn't have any free time and/or motivation to post news... ;)

www.doom9.org is very difficult to reach today because it resolves to server#.doom9.org with # between 1 to 6 and there are only server4 and server5 which are still working ... :/

I've now limited the round robin to server 4 & 5. Let's see when the others comes back online.
