something to laugh (think?) about

I ripped/encoded Matrix for 2 CDs with dual audio (vbr-mp3 at high bitrates) and Subtitles (Vobsub) some time ago. Today I splitted the .avi and the .sub/.idx files in order to burn them. I got MatrixCD1.avi and MatrixCD2.avi (and correspondingly named .idx, .sub and .css files): I could play MatrixCD1 perfectly (with subs and changing audio-track during playback) but MatrixCD2 made WMP6.4 crash every time I tried to load the file. ... wishing M$ to hell ... redo splitting of the second part (didn´t work) ... doubts on my skills ... To make it short: If nothing works I always begin to do some Voodoo-things. That means I renamed all the files (former MatrixCD2.XXX) to Matrix_CD2.XXX and ... it worked!

Any explanation? :confused:

Had a similiar problem sometime ago...

I solved it by moving the files to a directory with a shorter name :confused:
Sometimes even spaces in directory names seem to irritate M$ucks media player :rolleyes:

remember: ...it's a kind of magic... :D
