I've tried to demux vob file with DvdDecrypter and DGIndex and have same results:
m2v length is not the same as ac3 length.
When muxing with mmg (mkvtoolnix) to mkv, it is ok (no sync problem) but why m2v length is smaller than ac3?
Thks in advance and sorry for my english ==> i'm belgian !

Maybe some figures (AKA numbers :)) would be helpful

Hi!
If I remember correctly, somewhere at this forum "neuron2" explained that either the videostream or the audiostream doesn't carry timestamps - and the indicated time doesn't mean a darn thing, as you've already seen ;>}

When ripping and demuxxing DVDs I made the experience that the resulting m2v file often does not have correct timestamps, resulting in wrong or senseless playtimes indicated. To fix this problem, I use the program restream, available here:
http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/SupportUtils/ReStream_v090.zip
Load the m2v file, enter the first GOP timestamp as 0:0:0:0 and tick the checkbox "reset timestamps". After entering the destination filename click "Write!" and the problem should be fixed.
