You setup MT AviSynth normally and ignore StaxRip’s version mismatch message. Then you edit StaxRip’s filter profiles ("Filters / Profiles") and add the stuff you need, sth like:
[AviSynth MT]
MTMode 1 = SetMTMode(1,0)
MTMode 2 = SetMTMode(2,0)
FancyFilterChain = Import("C:\whatever\MyFilterChain.avs")
Et cetera. For elaborate filter chains with MT() it’s probably better to type that portion of the script manually, save it in a file and import it – see the FancyFilterChain line.
Btw: It would’ve been better if you had told us what you’ve been trying to get it to work. »trying to work out how to use it etc.. and no luck« isn’t exactly a useful description …

well i've tryed all the diffrent mt avi synth versions i still don't understand where these so call options are. the best i've got so far is using avi synth 2.60 alpha 2 which gives me 200-260fps, the files that i am encoding are recorded dvb-t file aka .mpg and then use staxrip to convert it to avi
these are the filters that i'm use
source: mpeg-2
field: fielddeinsterlace (blend=false)
crop: crop borders
resize: sharp
p.s could you tell me which version to get and where and some pictures as i am clueless :confused:

Which options? Do you mean StaxRip’s filter profile editor? -> StaxRip main window, left side, the blue »Filters« link that is the caption of the filters list.
Please be a little more specific. If you don’t state clearly where your problems are no one can help you!
