Kudos to Madrona

Even though I now do my rips with GKnot I still use Fair Use to rip all my 'DVD Extras' like Trailers, Interviews etc. Madrona has made this process even easier. :D

I just wanted to say thanks for this neat little program.

Madrona is an excellant package...had some problems with 1.20 but 1.30 works flawlessly. One thing I wish someone could tell me is what I need to do to increase the volume...the divx's look great but the volume is much to low for playing on my laptop.

Try using Powerdivxnextgen or the Radlight player with DeDynamic filter. This will allow you to increase your volume. Just go to the filter page and increase the slider to 200%. This gives a 6db (I think) increase.

Or, you could strip out the audio and apply a gain to it before muxing it back in. This option defeats the purpose of Madrona as an 'all-in-one' package though. ;)

I just added a parameter to normalize to make it normalize to 200%...which solved the problem for me.
