Good Tool For Joining .AVI Files?

I have some movie backups that have been saved as 2 or more .avi files IE: cd1 cd2 etc. I would like to simply join them as a single file. What would be good (not necessarily the fastest) tool for this purpose. thanks in advance to all who reply. :thanks:
