I have a problem with my video card display driver, after i install the driver software for it the screen suddenly turns black then goes back to normal, after a few seconds it turns to black again and everything on the screen that was previously opened freezes and start to appear all sort of artifacts.
is my video card dead or i have some sort of bug in my PC?
is there a program to check the video card's health?
Thank you! :thanks:

Visual artifacts like that are usually a sign of hardware failure. Either your video RAM or another critical component is dying, or your card is overheating badly.
What are your temps?

I've managed to take some screen-shots(barely).
the first screen should give you an idea about my problem

Hm... that looks more like a driver issue. Overheating causes sparkling type artifacts usually..
I'm not sure what's happening here.
Boot up in safe mode, uninstall the driver, then install the newest nVidia driver.

This is the newest driver from nVidia, i tryed older versions and still, the same problem
and could this also be a problem with the socket, for example the GPU is not attached properly ?

It could be a motherboard/PCIe driver issue. Might be worth uninstalling/reinstalling those drivers too while you're booted in safe mode.

i don't think there is a problem with those drivers, the installation of windows is fresh but i will try reinstall windows without the motherboard drivers, if i remember correctly during the installation of windows there was a warning about the sound driver that did not pass the windows logo testing but i did chose to install it anyway, probably that's the problem.
I'll feedback :thanks:

It could be the old driver hasn't been completely removed before the installation of the new driver. Try uninstalling the driver, then using something like driversweeper (make sure you use the latest version) and seeing if that helps.
Try using a different driver version. Many still acuse ATI of not having good drivers, but Nvidia are no better and in many cases worse!
Download the latest (highest rev number) driver from www.laptopvideo2go.com along with the inf file for your OS and see if that helps :) (after removing the current driver and using driver sweeper)

:thanks:
Later edit:
I've managed to download from www.laptopvideo2go.com and still the same problem, maybe my video-card is dead.
