Do you know any software able to cut one mpeg file in many little clips, taking the part to cut from a text file and merging the n parts again in a new whole file?
To do an example:
- 1 mpeg of 10'
- text file that says "cuts from 1' to 1'45, from 3'01 to 4"15, from 7' to 8'50, etc.. "
- 1 new mpeg done by the three parts above
Hope to have explained myself, thanks in advance for any answer..
Ciao!! :)

You're looking for a software that understands "rush lists". I do all this processing by hand as identifying the cuts takes me exactly the same amount of time ;) as the cutting itself.

Hi,
thanks for your answer but i don't have exactly understood what do you mean by rush lists and if there is any sw that could help me.
In the good old days of linear analog video processing any recorded tape had a TC (if the tape was new a blanking was applied thereto). The clips to be processed were included in a so called rush list that contained a sequence number, the start TC and the end TC. The operator loaded the rush list into the electronic editing device and this machine instructed the players and recorders to run accordingly.
I know there were software that could do this, especially when aquiring the video source, but since I was not interested in I simply didn't care ...
