I have been using DVD Rebuilder Pro for a couple of years now. However I have always used the 1 click mode. I am now wanting to trim some scenes before burning. Do I need a different program for that and if so could you suggest one? Thanks.

I'm not sure what specifically you mean by " trim some scenes ". More info is needed. Movie only, full backup, etc..
If you want to blank them out completely, yes you can do that with DVD RB. Removing warnings, trailers and such can be done.
If you want to shorten the length of a scene/cell, no you can't, or at least not directly with DVD RB in 1 click mode.
However, DVD RB does use the Avisynth trim command, so you could modify the .avs script for a given cell to change its duration, if you use 3 click mode.
I would advise against this though, you could be inviting potential playback issues.

EDIT:
VOBBlanker and PGCEdit are excellent tools that can be used for editing content too!

Have a look for VOB Blanker

Its old now and appears to have stopped updates, but still works fine and I've had no issues using it before running the resuly through DVD-RB

A lot also use PGCEdit, but I still can't get my head around that, which I believe offers even more control and lets you add or remove DVD commands for very specific control over how a DVD plays

In fact in the past VOB Blanker has corrected badly authored DVDs so DVD-RB can process it as it sticks to DVD specs so poor authoring can make 'proper' software fail

The vast majority of the time the default settings are fine, it will allow you to trim, cut or blank right down to cell level, and I mainly use it to remove the ever annoying copyright warnings when doing my full episode DVDs

But in trim mode also use it to remove partial titles from old BBC direct from master to DVD transfers of episode DVDs

A good example is On The Buses that frequently has the countdown clock before the titles so they knew when to start to transmit the broadcast

It can also edit the menus so that you don't have the annoying wipes or fades in with every menu, Disney Classics DVDs are a prime example of this everytime you go back to the menu

you can do it also in dvd shrink (reauthoring mode).

I use DVDShrink as well to strip the beginning or end if required, but thats all it will do

To do multiple editing on a DVD I use VOB Blanker, DVD Shrink can't blank anything, whereas VOB Blanker can

So to remove nothing but the copyright notices then you find where they are on the DVD, hopefully as a VTS on their own, otherwise it can be a real nightmare as I'm sure they 'hide' them in the DVD structure which means you then have to blank the cell, which DVD Shrink can't do

Generally, to kill playback on a per-cell basis in a menu domain (where copyright notices, etc. are generally kept), I first delete (not blank) the cells in place with VOBBlanker and then check the menu playback with IFOEdit, where I need to run Get VTS Sectors anyway. You can probably alter PGC playback in a title domain (including the main movie) very quickly using PGCEdit without doing full re-authoring, see here: http://download.videohelp.com/r0lZ/pgcedit/third_party/2cool/blanking_cell/blanking_cell.htm

Yes, you can't however trim with vobblanker, unless you create a new cell (split cell) at every cut point.

Thanks so much for the replies. I will try your suggestions. I truly wish I was as knowledgeable as you all, I get confused just trying to get the DVD player to work. Is there guides you learn from or just trial and error? Thanks again.

You can use Shrink to make 2 parts to the DVD. The 1st part to the scenes you want to take out then save it. Use Shrink to start again after the scenes are over with for part 2 or as many times as needed to remove scenes. Combine the 2 with DVD2One http://www.dvd2one.com/?loc=trial (Trial will do a 2 hour movie). I have done this numerous times to show movies to grand kids and 80 year old parents and is very user friendly.
