Recently install new Window 7 Ultimate and Nero 9 on my computer. After install DVD shrink (version 3.2) then try to burn a DVD (movie) about 3.5 gb by using DVD shrink. The DVD shrink kept saying need to install a Nero. What to do since I already have Nero 9 in my hard disk.

Thanks,
Karoon Yip

DVD Shrink is ancient, it either doesn't recognise Nero 9 or there is a Windows 7 compatibility issue. Just make the DVD by manually adding the files in Nero, or find some newer software (I don't know what alternatives there are as I don't have a need for this kind of software much).

Hi!

The assumption by zilog jones is right on the money. The now very dormant (though still extremely useful) DVD Shrink has not interfaced with NERO since an early v.7.xxx of NERO.

You can either change the settings in DVD Shrink sop that it no longer automatically seeks NERO for burning, and use NERO to burn manually - or you can seek out a modified version of DVDShrink that is set to automatically burn with (freeware) IMGBurn...

Shrink works perfectly in Windows 7. Its old but it works so why change? Secondly just use something else to burn such as IMGburn or even DVD dycrypter which is what I use to burn with Shrink.
