Using NanDub to cut my .avi (vbr .mp3) -- sound quality is horrible.....

I just encoded an anime DVD with four episodes using vbr .mp3 at 192kbit/s, the problem now is that I need to cut it into four pieces. I loaded the .avi with video only, checked direct stream copy for both audio and video, and then checked vbr mp3 under secondary stream in the audio options. Then I set my end and beginning markers and saved the .avi. The audio quality of the resulting .avi is horrible, at least when compared to my original encode. Why is this? Did I do something wrong? The audio is synched perfectly, it just sounds like crap. Please help.

Do you have two audio streams???
If not, do not use Secondary Audio Stream. Just select the vbr mp3 audio from the main Audio menu. And save it as one file. Later use Avi-Split-Calc (it's in the Divx4 section of the forum) to set the desired file size and to cut your movies. It's pretty simple to use and can do it automatically for you.

No. I'm dumb. :rolleyes: I went back in to try cutting it again and realized my mistake right away. It sounds fine now. I need sleep :(
