processes to get to cce

Hello all:

not exactly a cce question, but i want to know from you cce users since this is the app i'm trying to get to. are there any alternatives to get from dvd to cce other than dvd2avi, frameserving with vfapi, then cce? I've tried every combination now in dvd2avi with tv/pc scale, rgb/yuv, and in cce the 0-255/16-235 luminance settings, and none of them are quite the same as the original source. I've read that vfapi only reads rgb, and the original dvd's are yuv2, so i'm assuming this is a color conversion. Looking for just some direction.

You can always try dvd2avi, avisynth then cce. If you need help creating avs. file, use GordianKnot for this. Just save a dvd2avi projext, load it into GKnot, crop and save .avs setting SVCD and fool CCE options.

i think you could do a DVD2AVI project, save it and VFAPI-fake it. then open the fake avi.
