AC3 DIVX conversion...

I have a DIVX with ac3 audio. I am trying to create a VCD or SVCD out of this file, but I first need to encode this ac3 audio into normal stereo. I have tried many programs, but since this audio is part of an avi and not an ac3 standalone file, I can't seem to find a program that will work.

Please let me know what you think I should do to solve this problem...

use nandub and save wav when you opened the avi file and when its finished just rename the wav file to ac3 and then go the ussual way to make it 2 channel
