x264 support for TMpgenc?

Greetigs, is it possible to configure tmpgenc xpress so that it uses x264 backend for re-encoding my videos?
I's be very happy to be able that since Tmpgenc has luxury cutting environment.
I only see MPEG-4 AVC codec which I guess is not quite the same as H.264.
If this is possible please tell me how, or give me a ling to proper guide. Thanks

The MPG in TMPGEnc stands for "MPEG". It cannot encode AVC.

Don't you know how to use Google? You could have answered this in less than two minutes yourself.

I wouldnot say so. Saw some article saying the author was encoding to h264 using tmpgenc xpress. Just dont know how.

Maybe you are refering to the 'plug-in' (SpursEngine) that is available, although there are hardware requirements for this, read here:

Well, 'MPEG' refers to a variety of standards, which (not only) define various video formats. Including MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 Part-2 (DivX, Xvid, etc) and MPEG-4 Part-10 (aka "H.264"). So from the name we can't conclude which formats it does or doesn't support. Anyway, they offer a "TMPGEnc Movie Plug-In SpursEngine" for purchase, which allows "for blazing fast hardware H.264 and MPEG-2 encoding/decoding!".

(Edit: "What is SpursEngine? [...] It can also off-load decoding and encoding of MPEG-2 and H.264 from the CPU to SpursEngine devices." So special hardware is needed !?)
