Before moving on to CCE, I'd recommend you try HC Encoder (which is included with BD-RB and is the default upon setup). On some newer processors CCE doesn't seem to do well. Based on you log -- it seems to be failing completely in VTS_02. HC provides quality that is as good, and on a multiple core processor (more than 2) it is even faster.

As for affecting Nero -- I think that's something else. DVD-RB is fully contained and other than needing AVISYNTH installed (which it will install if it isn't already there), it doesn't make any changes to the system that could affect another piece of software.

how do i stop it from asking for cce? i have removed the software altogether and might reinstall.

how do i stop it from asking for cce? i have removed the software altogether and might reinstall. I'm a little confused about the "asking for CCE" thing -- but if I'm on the right wavelength, all you have to do is select "HC" under MODE/ENCODER menus.
