Hi,
Since i a newbie here, i don't know if this is correct forum for this query.
I want to find out which all vendors/companies have developed multi-threaded video codecs (decoders , encoders) as commercial products? Not opensource solutions like libavcodec/x264 etc... but commercial solutions from which one can obtain licenses/performance numbers of those solutions for a fee.

If you don't want to use x264 for free, wait some time, then pay to use it.

Basically what i am looking at is some performance metrics for multi-threaded video encoder/decoder(H.264) from commercial implementations/solutions.

Would this link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC_products_and_implementations) be of some help where you can get an oversight for both GPL and licensed H.264 products? There are other wiki on the net where you can see all public specification for what each H.264 codec are capable of.
Last time I followed some discussion on Doom9 about how far one might develop parallel processing (multi threading) there was some consensus that there is a limit of far it can be done, so I doubt you will find any major difference between how fast each codec will work as far as all codecs should be within H.264 specification and how hardware (CPU core) operate to process multi threading.

I have to point out even though I love x264 the previous chart came from an Anime comparison which is far from the standard material.

If you happen to work for a stupid company (like I did some years ago) that insists on only using payware, contact the freeware author in private, and see if you can arrange a special for-pay contract. They'd often love the money, and it will satisfy the nimrods where you work.
You'll probably have to include support, so ask for something like 1 hour of support per year or whatever the office clowns insist upon as a minimum.
This topic used to irk me, because they'd rather use inferior payware than good freeware.

Which we would be happy to offer, by the way.
