i was able to use dbrebuilder to back up the bonus disk but the main movie disk just fails after the first step. anyone have any help with this one movie?
i have backed up other disks so i know its not my install and i do know how to use the program (at least i think i do).
this is a very long movie over 3 hours and therefore a very large file too even if you select movie only.

hummm i tried 4 times 2 times whole disk and 2 times movie only. then i just ripped to iso with anydvdhd. can you give me any clues or any special settings in bdrebuilder i should have been using?
maybe i got the wrong version of one of the support files/apps?

It's always helpful if you post the log files, since many others, myself included, were able to successfully back this disc up.

i will run it again in the morning and post the log file then thanks. i am thinking like i said though maybe i don't have all the right versions of the support files, i did have to update ffdshow before anything worked.

You should only be using the files referenced in the first page of this thread. If you are not, uninstall haali, Avisynth, and ffdshow, reboot, and install those.
If you are running XP or Vista, also install WMP11.
If you are using Win 7, follow the install directions here.

- [07:38:51] ScanDirectory() 00052 2601This indicates there is something odd happening already, even before the encoding is ready to start. Have you been getting this all along? The pathname (as returned from the operating system) gives an "bad file name" error when you try to access it.
