This may seem a dumb question.

I see some 3D films are starting to appear on Blu-Ray, do you need a special TV or will a normal HD TV do with a pair of them 3D glasses do?

Sorry to dissapoint you, but these discs use coloured glasses to seperate the left and right eye information.

This is NOT the Blu Ray 3D system you may be hearing about. That will be out in the future and yes you will need a special TV (very fast response screen) to view. There are a few methods to achive this and dependant upon which type of screen used will need either active (switching glasses) or passive glasses using circular left and right polarization. The reason for using circular polarization is just so that you can tilt you head without affecting the seperation.

Dont bother with the 3D discs at the moment.
