Hallo,
i've captured some vhs tapes and want to process the audio track with behappy to AC3 (stereo). It offers AC3/VBR but i'm unsure if it's dvd compliant.

Can i go for vbr or better stick with cbr?

Edit: Doesn't seem to be dvd compliant.. :(

Yes isnīt dvd compliant, and for encode stereo with Aften I recommend check the 'Independent L+R channels'.

Yep, thx. My settings are CBR192/L+R/ReadToEnd/DRC:None. Sounds good so far...

Why do you recommend that? Are there compatibility issues?

This is a old issue still present. I think I say you but I don't remember when.

When use Mid/Side option there are traces of left channel in right channel and vice versa (sometimes audible -26 dB).

Hmm... I don't remember that. I just added a TODO list item in the Changelog to investigate the issue. So at least it won't be forgotten again.
Thanks.
