Hi All,
First post here and gotta say from just what I been reading in the last few days learned alot more about authoring than I ever thought I could. KUDOS!

Anyway down to the nitty gritty. I have eureka season 1, 3 disc set and wanted to get rid of the warning, copyright, and views and opinions page.

Now disc 1 and 2 we easy I simply deleted VTS_04_01.vob and it worked perfectly. Just had the universal intro then straight to menu.

With disc 3 however this didn't work. So I read the forum and specifically 2COOLS removal of FBI warning post. After trying it the first way 2COOL said I found the 3 warning pages were gone and it went straight from universal intro to menu which was great. But when I tested all the features I found everything worked fine for the main video but while I could get to the extras menu, when I tried to select one of the extras movies it didnt work.

There was a slight glitch in Video & Sound for a milisecond and then the menu just kept playing like it did before I selected the movie which didnt play. This happened with all 3 of the extras movie.

The warning movies are still in VTS_04_01.vob in disc 3 which is title 13 but the extras menu is in title 1. The menu works but the link/movies don't.

Anyone got any fix ideas? Thanks

Looking at this might help. This guide is more up to date than 2COOL's.

Or this thread.

Now disc 1 and 2 we easy I simply deleted VTS_04_01.vob and it worked perfectly.
This is usually not recommended. Better "Kill Playback" with PGCEdit and then use VOBblanker or FixVTS to regain space.

Thanks for the reply im afraid after looking at the links im still confused as to how to achieve my aim. Its my own fault I should of mentioned im a giant NOOB to most of this. I'd really (if someone has the time) need a step by step guide ill try and clear up what im looking to do...

Dvd plays in the following order

Universal Intro (20 Sec)

Warning Movie (10 Sec)

Copyright Movie (10 Sec)

Opinions Movie (10 Sec)

Main Menu

I want the dvd to play in the following manner

Universal Intro (20 Sec)

Main Menu

But I also want all menus to work and the corresponding video. So I want the extras I just want those three 10 sec movies gone. I dont really care or need to regain space using VOBblanker or FixVTS.

My experience thus far has been in using IFOedit to alter the playback time (as I said using 2Cools guide) and it did work the 3 movies were gone but somehow they took with them the extras movies or the links the extras menu uses to get to the extras movies.

Just do a kill playback in PgcEdit on the offending PGCs.

Or in DVDRemake use 'Add Post- to Pre-Commands' option for each unwanted PGC.

The trick to modify the playback duration is nice, but it is not standard compliant, and it can lead to navigation problems when there are cell commands in the Title. It's probably why you had problems. The "Kill Playback" method is more secure, but the IfoEdit's Kill Playback function does not work on Titles. Use the equivalent function in PgcEdit. (Of course, if some of those titles are also called from a bonus menu, they will not be available any more. But that's true for all methods.)
