Can I my laptop and a PC using my laptop keyboard and monitor and a KVM switch?

Do you mean "can I use my laptop keyboard and LCD to control both my laptop and my desktop?"?

The answer is yes, but not via a KVM. Use remote desktop to log into your PC from your laptop. This works wonders :)

If your OS doesn't support remote desktop (aka Windows XP Home instead of Pro), then you can still use something like VNC.

I don't think so (what would you connect to the KVM?). Maybe some specialized solution exists, but I don't follow these things too much.

I think it would be easier to use some kind of VNC program (only a network connection is needed). I use TightVNC.
