hi,
is there a tool for auto-segment linking all the files i have saved to a folder? its very hard so copy every segment id with the header editor into the next segment file, if there is a large number of files in the folder.

other idea.
when i split a big file to a number of smaller files, i can link the files. is it possible to do the following: mux all the episodes of a series (or season) to one big mkv and split the big file back to the single files (the episodes), but with enabled "link file" (global).
the problem is to spli the file at the right position.

You could always mux one or two together as a test. You can even specify splitting during the remux if I'm not mistaken.
Far as I know, splitting should be easy. As the format allows you to specify multiple times to split at. I forget the exact timebase format at the moment, but it shouldn't be an issue to split at the end of episodes, once you establish where they end in the file.
Then it's a matter of specifying your multiple split points..
