Batch cutting via mkvmerge?

Is there a way to batch cut a bunch of video files? I have family guy episodes encoded, and most of them have a 30 second intro. Is it possible to make mkvmerge, or some other GUI, to cut the first 30 seconds of a video for every video I select?

There is a --split switch so it can be done with a batch file.
