Using DVDs to create 'Blu-Ray' video files, I always get out of synch video/audio.

First I tried multiAVCHD and Sothink HD converter to convert HD MPEG2 home videos. Then the Arcsoft Media Extreme to convert the Happauge HD PVR capture from TV(.ts files). When I play these DVDs in a Sony Blu-Ray player and a PS3, they are out of synch. The Arcsoft has the least visible error. But still very noticeable and a bit surprising because I do not think Arcsoft is re-encoding considering the speed it created the 'Blu-ray' DVD.

The original files are okay. It's when they are authored to a Blu-Ray format that shows the problem. Is there a trick or solution to this? Thanks.

Hi!

Exactly what is it you're attempting to accomplish by converting standard DVDs to BluRay format?

That .TS files have a delay it's normal (it can amount up to 1-2 seconds), what I find strange is that the camcorder files (home videos???) have such a delay.

I process my .M2TS (HDTV, H.264, audio delay of about 1s) with multiAVCHD and the result is ok for the AC-3 part, satisfactory for the MP2 part.
