Hello,

I own Panasonic NV-GS250 which my OS wont detect.

My PC is Windows 7 64 bit based and it wont detect my camera thru USB or Firewire(connected to Firewire port of Pinnacle 700-USB and then Pinnacl eis connected to PC's USB port).

It seems that there is a problem between NV-GS250 and 64 bit OS?

Have you tried connecting with the camera both on and off?

Yes I did with no success.

It seems that old Panasonic models have a major problem with 64 bit OSes. Even in Win XP 64 bit it has worked half way, but why Pinnacle is unable to detect even analog S-video signal then?

It is listed as Vista compatible at Panasonic, but not mentioned in the Windows 7 list at all. No distinction between 32 and 64 bit versions.

However there is a fine print disclaimer on the windows 7 page

Windows 7 doesn't work with everything.
