megui error

well i got a error and tried to find the solution and searched whole net found one solution but can't figure it out what it's saying the problem is i get this error
[Error] An error occurred: x264 [error]: ratecontrol_init: can't open stats file
can anybody help.....:helpful:

I think that error is caused by running the 2nd pass without running the 1st pass first.

Perhaps he ran the first pass.Yes, I guessed that but:

I found a tut on a forum to convert mpg TV streams recorded on HD to an AVI encoded with Xvid in order to be able to put them
in the upload section of that forum.
Unfortunately, that tut is a couple of years old and it explain how to do that conversion with Gordian Knot.
As I have already used MeGui for some simple conversions but with other formats, I tried to "translate" the settings of GK to ones for MeGui.
So, I guess I have to use the "Automated 2 pass profile" in order to get everything going automatically from start to end but I don't know if it would rather be better to run the 2 passes manually with specific settings.
Maybe I sounded as one that does no use the search box but,
by now, I haven't being able to find a comprehensive answer to these kind of questions.
