8x8dct=1 / cqm=2 / deadzone=21,11 / chroma_qp_offset=-2 / threads=24 / nr=0 / decimate=1 / mbaff=0 / bframes=3 / b_pyramid=0 / b_adapt=2 / b_bias=0 / direct=3 /
wpredb=1 / keyint=250 / keyint_min=25 / scenecut=40 / rc_lookahead=0 / rc=2pass / mbtree=0 / bitrate=1697 / ratetol=1.0 / qcomp=0.60 / qpmin=10 / qpmax=51 /
qpstep=4 / cplxblur=20.0 / qblur=0.5 / vbv_maxrate=50000 / vbv_bufsize=50000 / ip_ratio=1.40 / pb_ratio=1.30 / aq=1:1.00

just use one of the profiles built in to MeGUI or create a new one and use the x264 preset slider. Do a couple test encodes and see which one you are happy with the speed\quality trade off.

I was wondering what cqm=2 is?

I have no idea what fast_pskip=0 is. My old profile didn't say that at all.
I also have no idea what sliced_threads=0 and constrained_intra=0 is. I was wondering how to modify these three options

If you don't know what the settings do, then don't change them.

What is the source and what are you encoding for? bluray? PC? IPOD?

Are you using Zathor's Patched MeGUI (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=151159)? the profiles included with it should cover 99% of the users.

my megui was the last stable and it updated a few days and the navigation changed.

i wanted to know what those settings are because there not on my old profile but when i created the new profile, they appear.
