Good external blu ray writers

What are your suggestions for a really good external blu ray writer/reader with high speed USB and is compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit?? I bought one from discmakers and it is compatible with XP but not Vista 64 bit. It burns regular dvd 5 and dvd 9 great with vista, but as soon as i put in a blank bd-r, my laptop freezes up and all processes halt. I am looking for other alternatives and where to find them.
