There is currently only one know method to use Vorbis ( not Ogg ) in AVIs, and this is only a workaround :

Download nandub RC2 from Doom9 and replace all the files with og and vorbis in the name by the newest version from latest Vorbis SDK.

This will allow you to mux Vorbis audio streams into your DivX AVIs. Then go to sourceforge.net and download the MediaXW DirectShowFilter ( must be 0.05, newer versions dont work, no support for AVI anymore ) from there ( i'm not sure if Doom9 has it for download also ). This is only a workaround because the vorbis audio stream is in a ogg file format now, and this is muxed to the AVI, means you have an audio stream in a box in a box . This workaround is currently the only way of doing that, and it will only allow you to play the movie, you cant seek in it ( audio gets lost ), due to the inability of AVIs to contain VBR audio streams.

At http://www.powerdivx.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=108 we are betatesting the 1st implementation of the Ogg format, which was designed from the xiphophorus team as a universal A/V container and is also streamable. The muxing tools and DirectShowFilter from Tobias W. are still in a very early alpha stage but they work fine for integer framerates like 25 or 30 fps now. For the future we exspect a new file format to be developed being called TMF ( or MCS ), replacing AVI completely and offering a lot of features.
