dvd recording problem

it is a pleasure to be here , and i hope i am not posting in the wrong place

i have this LG HD DVD recorder and i attached it to tv and i tried to record the picture as a dvd format on a dvd-r disc and on the display it gave writing disc message then done , the problem is when i try to play this dvd disc in my pc dvd drive it is recognized as audio cd !
but in the hd dvd recorder it is played normally , so what do u think?

Maybe you have to finalize the disk.

but it gives done does not it mean it is finalized?

Check your user manual and see if there is a finalizing operation required to make the disc playable on other players. My Panasonic has it, and I'd be surprised if your doesn't. The disc is left open to allow new recordings to be added.
