Hello,
I have a simple questions on something I observed.
I had 2 clips encoded with Lagarith that had "missing index block". I opened both with separate VDubs and let it reconstruct the block index. Afterward, I launched the encoding to Lagarith with one and I saw ~50FPS. I decided to launch the other as well for practical reason and when the encoding speed stabilized on both, I had a total of ~75FPS.
I am puzzled on why this happens. Lagarith always runs 100% CPU. When lauching the other, each instances will enjoy one core. If the HDD was the bottleneck, how can double reading and writing can be faster?
I like to understand things and I am currently in the dark!
Thanks for your input!
