RipBot264, MKV and Uncompressed Audio

Can someone please explain what RipBot264 is doing to DTS-MA and TrueHD tracks. I select the uncompressed track before the demux and it turns into a .wav in the temp folder. Then the audio profile pulldown does not have the xxxCOPY STREAMxxx option so I'm forced to select Aften AC3 5.1 640 CBR. I guess my question is why can't you copy stream into mkv, and is there a way to extract a core DTS track from DTS-MA, or core AC3 from TrueHD and copy stream on those? Also is the TrueHD to Aften AC3 640 essentially taking the AC3 core out without altering it?

wav is the file decoded / uncompressed / pcm
currently ripbot doesn't support copying of HD audio tracks. (mkv files do support HD codecs/audio tracks though)
If you want to keep the original audio track I'd recommend extracting (demuxing) it and then just muxing it back in after whatever re-encoding you do (keep in mind the audio will take up more space than ripbot will account for with the reencoded track)
I'm not sure if ripbot does an actual core extract or just a reencode into the ac3 640, and it won't down convert DTS at all - just transcode it to AC3 640
if you want to down convert it - just use tsmuxer, demux the audio track and select 'down convert hd audio' that'll extract the dts or ac3 core

TRUEHD is decompressed not AC3 core. I'm not that stupid :)
Also DTSMA is decompressed not DTS core. Why? because DTSMA -> .wav -> Aften Ac3 640 kbps = DTS core 1,5 mbps in terms of quality. You save almost 1Mbps for video!

Take a look at this new app in the forum, BluRip. It isn't quite as polished as ripbot, but it seems to do the job so far.
