View Full Version : GPU-accelerated H.264 codec for DVB-S?

Hi,

does anybody know a working codec for HDTV DVB-S that uses GPU acceleration on my Sapphire ATI HD 4350 card? The ATI MPEG decoder crashes a second after starting it with H.264, so that doesn't seem to be an option. Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 doesn't seem to come with a H.264 codec and version 9 seems to be restricted to PowerDVD itself, so it's probably not worth buying it. Nero software is a monster. CoreAVC now does support GPU (they say) but only on nVidia. ffdshow only uses my CPU which is a bit too slow for HDTV. And the computer is getting loud anyway when it's working hard.

I'm using DVBViewer if that's relevant, on Windows XP SP3. Whatever codec I find should be compatible with Windows 7 x64, too, as this should be my next OS version.
